The Three Lions record goalscorer will make a late cameo on Thursday to win his 120th and final cap, however it’ll be his final professional appearance in the country.“I made the decision to obviously go to the States,” Rooney responded when quizzed about rumours linking him with a Premier League return.“When I make a decision, I tend to stick to it. It’s important that I give my full commitment to DC United.“I’ve seen talk about a loan move back here but I’m not prepared to do that. I will finish my career there.” Wayne Rooney joined DC United from Everton in June and took the side from the bottom of the Eastern Conference into the MLS play-offs.He ultimately missed a penalty in the shoot-out which saw them eliminated by Columbus Crew, yet was still very proud of the sides recovery during the regular season.
